I hope that you enjoy viewing my paintings as much as I have enjoyed creating them. I have had regular and successful exhibitions in England, Ireland and America during the past thirty years, and my work is in a number of major public collections, and in the homes of many people both here and abroad.
I am a member of the Royal Ulster Academy, and a long-serving tutor for the Open College of the Arts. I now live in Exeter, Devon.
My paintings are in oils in an impressionist/expressionist style, covering a variety of subjects, such as landscape, seascape, townscape, still life, interiors and figures, often inspired by my travels abroad as an artist-in-residence on cruise ships.
You will find more information about my work on other pages, together with a selection of paintings, many of which are available for sale.

News from the Studio
March 2015 :
A special feature of the website at present is a collection of sketchbook paintings completed during a five month stay in the historic port of Topsham, Devon. In addition to these studies, there are a number of new paintings of Topsham and of the wider Devon area, particularly Dartmoor. There is also a small collection of figure paintings depicting my wife and friends playing and singing at home! You'll see most of these on the 'Recent Paintings' page that opens the Gallery section, but please trawl through the other pages to see the full range.
I am also at present exploring opportunities to show in the South West, having not long moved down from Gloucestershire, and welcome enquiries for solo or mixed exhibitions. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
