In Memoriam - Robert Lee-Wade RUA

Robert died on Aug 9th, 2024, after a long spell in hospital. Although he had been ill for some time, he was still planning what he might paint next, and we were building a new studio at our current home. Robert and I moved to Minchinhampton, Gloucestershire, in Sep 2023, back to an area which we knew and loved. I am leaving his website just as it was for the forseeable future for others to continue to enjoy his art. If you wish to contact me directly about Robert or his work, you can do so through the contact form on my website www.cherrygilchrist.co.uk, or my blog www.cherrycache.org.

Cherry Lee-Wade (Gilchrist) - Robert's wife.

I hope that you enjoy viewing my paintings as much as I have enjoyed creating them.

I have had regular and successful exhibitions in England, Ireland and America during the past thirty years,

and my work is in a number of major public collections, and in the homes of many people both here and abroad.

I am a member of the Royal Ulster Academy, and a long-serving tutor for the Open College of the Arts.

I now live in Topsham, Devon.

My paintings are in oils in an impressionist/expressionist style, covering a variety of subjects,

such as landscape, seascape, townscape, still life, interiors and figures, often inspired by my travels abroad

as an artist-in-residence on cruise ships.

You will find more information about my work on other pages, together with a selection of paintings, m

any of which are available for sale.
